Let’s start with the character of Jane whose role has been played by Krysten Ritter. The actress, whom we saw as Lucy on Gilmore Girls, joined the show for a recurring role. However, it does not seem that she would be going off the show very soon, given the romantic angle that is present to her story arc. Well, I feel great that the lady is continuing with her role on Breaking Bad, as she adds a bit more glamour to this tragic comedy.

Personally I feel that the writers should try and include her as one of the main characters on Breaking Bad, as it would be nice to see, how romance will affect the life and working of Jesse. Even though the two are currently not sharing any romantic relationship, and are just having the casual relationship of a landlord and tenant, it has been hinted that the two might find love with each other, sometime during the later part of Season 2 of Breaking Bad.

Another recent addition to the cast has been, Bob Odenkirk. He plays the role of a crooked defense attorney hired by Walt and Jesse to protect them as well as their meth ring. Now, here is another character, which can be added to the list of main characters. After all if you are doing something unlawful, you need a lawyer to defend yourself. So Bob has every chance of making a permanent place on Breaking Bad.

Let’s just hope the writers feel the same way. But, even if these characters do not become a permanent feature, I feel that Breaking Bad has enough potential, to sustain and grow, with just the original cast members. After all it was with those few characters only that it won the hearts of millions of fans, and is still continuing to do so.
